Japanese One Piece Card Game OP-17 booster box

In 2026 the One Piece Card Game released three main sets in Japan: OP-15, OP-16 and OP-17. All three come in the same box format, but the story arcs, leaders and chase cards are very different. OP-15 Adventure on Kami's Island

OP-15 takes you to Skypiea, where Luffy faces the self-proclaimed god Enel. The leaders are Krieg, Lucy, Brook, Rebecca, Enel and Monkey D. Luffy. Both Luffy and Enel appear as Secret Rares, and Enel also gets a Super Parallel version. A good choice if you like the classic sky island arc or want to build around Enel.

OP-16 The Time of Battle

OP-16 revisits the Summit War of Marineford, one of the biggest moments in the story. Whitebeard's crew, the Marines and the Impel Down escapees all take part. The leaders are Portgas D. Ace, Monkey D. Luffy, Buggy, Sengoku, Yamato and Marshall D. Teach. Ace and Teach debut as Secret Rares, and the Three Admirals appear as Super Parallel cards. For many fans this is the most emotional set of the three.

OP-17 The World's Strongest Warriors

OP-17 is the largest set of the three, with 131 card types and four DON!! cards. Legendary captains go head to head with Luffy: the leaders are Edward Newgate (Whitebeard), Shanks, Rocks D. Xebec, Kaido, Monkey D. Luffy and Charlotte Linlin (Big Mom). With this line-up it is one of the most anticipated sets for both players and collectors.

Which box should you choose?

  • For a favourite arc: Skypiea (OP-15), Marineford (OP-16) or the great captains (OP-17).
  • For a favourite leader: check the leader list above; each set has six.
  • For the most different cards: OP-17 has the largest set size and the most DON!! cards.
  • To keep sealed: older sets are printed for a limited time, so a sealed box of an earlier set is often harder to find later than the newest one.

Why Japanese boxes?

Japanese sets come out first, and Japanese boxes are popular with collectors for their print quality. Japanese cards are fine for casual play; for official tournaments outside Japan, check which language is allowed in your event. Ordering from a shop that ships within the EU also means no import duties on delivery.
